At River City, we provide many opportunities for you to serve the world and share God’s love in our community (Outreach) and cross-culturally (Missions). Community Outreach

Street Meals – First Sunday of every month

Volunteers assemble non-perishable meals-in-a-bag for our congregation to pick up on the first Sunday of every month after each service on the patio. The meals can be kept in the car and given out to those in need.

Feeding the Homeless – 1st and 3rd Friday of every month

This team serves meals to the homeless staying in the Prospects Courtyard at the Haven for Hope. Team members prepare food, setup and serve the meal, and pray with those in need. It’s a great way to give to someone who has absolutely nothing to give back.

The Carpenter’s House – Varies

This team is restoring an old house in the inner-city that will be used as an outreach center for the surrounding community. If you have handyman or landscape skills, this team could use your help.

Royal Family Kids Camp – 1 week each summer

This team puts on an amazing week-long camp for abused and neglected children in the Bexar County foster care system. Serving at this camp will change your life as you have the opportunity to share the unconditional love of Christ with society’s forgotten children. Follow the link for more information.

Missions & Missions Support

Short-term Mission Trips – varies

River City resources and sends teams into Mexico to support the local churches there in a variety of ways, including helping with construction projects, running Vacation Bible School for children, and ministering through worship, prayer, and teaching. We also send teams overseas to serve the foreign missionaries and ministries that RCCC financially supports.

Prayer for the Nations – Every Tuesday morning & the last Thursday evening of the month

Prayer is the most powerful thing we can do to impact the world for the Kingdom. This team meets every week to worship and to pray for countries and missionaries around the world. If you have a heart for other nations and for the missionaries who serve there, come and pray with this team.
